About me:
I started at the firm in 1996 to lead the Dispute Resolution & Litigation team. I became a partner in 2002 and I also now lead the firm’s Employment team.
What can I do for you?
With litigation matters, every case is different. I have amassed a wealth of experience in dispute resolution, in litigation and in employment matters, working with corporate clients, small businesses and individuals in the local area, nationally and overseas.
Examples of my work include an arbitration between an English client and its Indian joint venture partner over the design, supply and installation of a ceramics factory in India. I have also been involved in a dispute between two Swiss companies over the validity of a contract for 400,000 tonnes of oil. I successfully represented this client in the court of appeal. The case was widely reported and decided important issues concerning a foreign company’s capacity to enter binding contractual obligations.
I have particular expertise in business reorganisations and the application of TUPE regulations on the transfer of services to new contractors.
Why come to us?
Thomson Webb & Corfield employs high quality lawyers, offering the best service for a reasonable fee.
It is important to put yourself in your client’s position, to give you a clear picture of their aims. It is also important to create a realistic target for them. I try to find the route which is most economical for my clients, but also the most valuable and this is why many of my clients come to me through recommendations.
What clients say:
“I was dealt with in a professional manner. I felt reassured about the advice I received. My initial experience has been excellent. Trouble to find fault with the service.”
