About me:
I am a solicitor with over 20 years’ experience in private client matters. After starting out at the firm working in Residential Property, I left to gain knowledge and experience of private client work, working with a number of major practices in East Anglia before returning to the firm in 2016. I am a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE). I became a partner at the firm in November 2022.
What can I do for you?
I have extensive knowledge and experience in wealth management and estate planning. My work includes drafting Wills to include tax planning measures and trusts, administration of estates, creation of lifetime trusts, advising clients on inheritance tax and capital gains tax and Court of Protection matters.
It is never too early to consider tax planning for you and your family. Simple choices such as how you structure the ownership of your property, or making use of annual allowances and exemptions can pay benefits immediately in terms of reducing your tax burden, and you can also substantially reduce or even eliminate the likelihood of your successors paying inheritance tax. Sound planning can also help to avoid difficulties when unforeseen events arise, or navigate sensitive family relationships.
Why come to us?
Private client work often requires support from other areas of law. At Thomson Webb & Corfield, we have experts in all fields so that, whatever your particular needs, we can ensure that these are dealt with effectively and efficiently, whilst retaining a personal touch.
I am an approachable, thoughtful solicitor who considers not only the immediate issues, but also the bigger picture. I pride myself on my creative thinking and am always looking for a solution to meet the client’s objective. Clients say that I offer sound advice, delivered in an easy to understand manner.
What clients say:
“ Your willing help and friendly manner has been much appreciated”
“ I express my gratitude to you for finally bringing our Mother’s affairs to a conclusion. I very much appreciate all your patience and hard work” Mr D Taylor
